G2 in Electrical Engineering

Hi, I'm Xueru, a second-year PhD student in Electrical Engineering at Caltech, working in the CHIC Lab with Professor Ali Hajimiri. My research focuses on designing integrated circuits that expand how we sense, connect, and understand the world, with applications in health, communication, and beyond.

As a first-generation college and graduate student, I've often had to navigate academia without a blueprint, and I know how much of a difference peer support and small moments of community can make. Through GSAB, I hope to foster a more connected and inclusive culture across EAS and create spaces where students feel comfortable showing up as themselves.
