Rupali Batta

  • I come from an all-girls high school, so I've always valued engineering spaces intentionally created for women. SWE is one of the largest clubs at Caltech, and it's a great way to meet upperclassmen girls across different houses and majors who are excited to mentor you. My favorite SWE event every year is Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day, where we bring about 50 local middle school girls to campus for a day of fun STEM activities, like making boba with polymers and ice cream with liquid nitrogen.
  • My fun fact is that I love old music! Specifically Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton, U2, and the Eagles.
