Graduate Student in Mechanical Engineering

Hi, my name is Gilbert Bahati, and I'm a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering in the AMBER Lab, advised by Dr. Aaron Ames. I received my BS in Civil Engineering from UC Berkeley. My research focuses on nonlinear control theory for safety in robotic systems. I joined GSAB because I value representation and community. My goal is to help expand access to educational opportunities and resources for deserving students, irrespective of their backgrounds, while striving to inspire others from similar communities as mine to pursue STEM.
