Electrical Engineering: The Department of Electrical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level.

We are seeking highly qualified candidates committed to a career in teaching and research in the broad area of electrical devices including, but not limited to, semiconductor devices, nanoelectronics, electromagnetic devices, MEMS/NEMS, photonics devices, and biomedical devices.

The candidate must have an excellent track-record in research and a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering or closely related fields. All applications must be submitted on-line. Candidates are required to submit a current CV, research and teaching statements, copies of key publications, three letters of reference, and a list of up to six additional references. The length of the initial appointment is four years. The application must be submitted before January 15, 2009.

Initial appointments at the assistant-professor level are for four years and contingent on completion of the Ph.D. degree. Exceptional candidates at the Associate and Full Professor levels will be considered.
