The Caltech Computing and Mathematical Sciences (CMS) Department (http://www.cms.caltech.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. The CMS department is a unique environment where innovative, multidisciplinary, and foundational research is conducted in a collegial atmosphere. We are looking for candidates in Computer Science, Control & Dynamical Systems, and Applied Mathematics who have demonstrated exceptional promise through innovative research with strong potential connections to other mathematical, natural, and engineering sciences. A commitment to high-quality teaching and mentoring is also expected.
The initial appointment at the assistant-professor level is for four years and is contingent upon the completion of a Ph.D. degree in CMS-related field. Exceptionally well-qualified applicants may also be considered at the associate or full professor level.
